With joy and enthusiasm, the Lights, Camera, Learning 2025 event was inaugurated.
This iconic event takes place before the Award Ceremony of our Short Film Festival, in its fourth edition.
This year, the event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by parents, adding significance to the moment. For the ribbon-cutting, welcome, and official opening, we were honored by the presence Principal Ana María Alvarez. Also present was Film School director Pablo Mogrovejo, who gave words of congratulations to the students from eighth grade to first-year high school who have ventured into the difficult but fascinating world of cinematography. He spoke about our school’s alliance with the University of the Americas (UDLA), which he represents, about the first collaborative event, the «Lighting Workshop,» which our students attended, and how this year the UDLA Film School will also be part of the pool of external judges who will evaluate the finalist short films.
Undoubtedly, a powerful event that highlighted the leadership of the Middle Years Programme English teachers and the learning growth of MYP students, involving skills such as teamwork, organization, time management, creating a premise, script, soundtrack, cinematography, set design, editing, credits, and more.
